Breast Cancer Initiative East Africa, Inc.
Breast Cancer Initiative East Africa (BCIEA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing breast cancer screenings, education and awareness to impoverished communities in East Africa. Their mission is to empower people through education based on proven methods and resources that are regionalized and culturally acceptable to target audiences. BCIEA was founded, and is currently directed by, Philippa Kibugu-Decuir. Philippa is a survivor herself. Her difficult journey – including the loss of a sister to breast cancer – impacts and inspires many lives through this organization.
